Video Copilot – Animated Polygon

Introduction to Adobe After Effects Task

We were asked to choose between tutorial A (Mt. Mograph – Intro to Motion Graphics) or B (Video Copilot – Animated Polygon). After choosing one of the tutorials, we were asked to create it using Adobe After Effects. These are the conditions we need to follow when creating the video:-

1. Amend the elements according to your preference
2. Change the entire colour scheme of the tutorial
3. Include the title of this tutorial and our name

To create this video, I use Adobe After Effects. It is an application where video professionals use to create engaging motion graphics and cinematic visual effects. For this task, I chose tutorial B.

Steps to create the video:-

1. Create new composition with the size 1024px X 1024px
2. Create new solid called 'Rings'
3. Add 'Radio Waves' effect to the solid
4. Change the polygon sides to 9
5. Create a polygon using polygon tool and change the wave type to 'Mask'
6. Play with the expansion, frequency and the lifetime tools
7. Change the colour of the polygon on different frames
8. Change the width of the polygon on different frames
9. Create another solid called 'Gradient"
10. Right-click and click 'Layer Styles' and then 'Gradient Overlay'
11. Change the gradient settings to 'Angle'
12. Create new adjustment layer
13. Add 'Time Displacement' Effect to the adjustment layer
14. Change the time displacement layer to 'Gradient Comp'
15. Create a new composition with the size 1280px X 720px

17. Add 'Tint' effect to the background
